Personnel and ESG 2023

Personnel

The 2023 personnel strategy strongly focused on supporting community, communication, and the development of the Mtech Way. Mtech continues to be a well-regarded employer, with employee satisfaction remaining particularly high within the industry. In 2023, the average length of employment was 9.3 years. Our job satisfaction levels remained excellent throughout the year, with our overall employer rating rising to 4.3 out of 5 in the December employee survey.

At the end of the year, Mtech employed 109 staff members, with 39% women and 61% men. Temporary staff made up 1% of our workforce, part-time employees by their own request were 8%, and 92% of our employees worked full-time. The average age of our staff in 2023 was 43 years. Geographically, our employees were located from Rovaniemi to Hanko.

We are particularly proud of how we have developed an effective remote management and teleworking model over the past few years. Remote work and the balance between work and leisure received special praise in the company’s job satisfaction surveys this year.

ESG reporting integrating into Mtech’s operations

Mtech Digital Solutions will start its annual carbon footprint calculation in cooperation with Biocode in 2024. This is part of our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting, which demonstrates our commitment to environmental protection, social justice, and good governance.

ESG reporting is designed to help identify and mitigate risks, reducing a company’s exposure to negative impacts. The EU Corporate Responsibility Directive (in 2024) applies to companies with more than 500 employees. It may also indirectly apply to companies of Mtech’s size, so Mtech is developing an ESG report in advance, even though this is not yet required by legislation.
